Since its founding in 1919, Nankai University has forged a strong academic reputation and is known as the ‘North Star’ among China’s higher education institutions. Aimed at making an impact on society, the university has produced many results that have brought significant socio-economic benefits. Nankai University is a national ‘double first-class’ institute and emphasises public values, capabilities and innovation at its core of education. It provides a quality environment for >30,000 students, with a wide range of disciplines, allowing ample freedom to explore interdisciplinary innovation. The university has 26 colleges and 92 undergraduate programs, 28 Post-Doctoral research stations and 31 authorized primary Doctoral programs, which makes Nankai a university with one of the most comprehensive academic programs in China.
The Laboratory of Tissue Engineering & Cardiovascular Biomaterials (College of Life Sciences, Nankai University) headed by Prof. Deling Kong is seeking:
Postdoctoral Research Associates
(Cardiovascular biology, Biomaterials, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology, Medicine) for projects focused on vascularization and its biological mechanisms in driving tissue regeneration.
Our group specialises in biomaterial design, fabrication, and evaluation for promoting vascularization in cardiovascular disease treatment and tissue regeneration. We also pursue tissue engineering research, including the construction of artificial tissues, organs, and scaffolds to induce tissue regeneration.
Our major focus is tackling vascular problems in regenerative medicine, using artificial blood vessels, bioactive hydrogels, stem cell-inspired therapeutics, nanomaterials, and other strategies to promote the angiogenesis and repair of damaged tissues.
